About Us

Founded in 1990, Landis Architects/Builders has extensive experience transforming area homes. We feel a new or remodeled space should enhance the aesthetic of the original home, improve its function, and add long-term value for the owners. We also emphasize durability and energy-efficient improvements during a renovation. We believe the design/build process is a great model for busy professionals who want a single responsible party. Our architect-lead design team works hand-in-hand with project managers, team leaders, and estimating, to emphasize project goals, budgets and schedules. Landis Architects/Builders maintains licensing and insurance in DC, Maryland and Virginia. We are always working to make our documents, our process and our team better so our clients will have better outcomes.
We have about 50 employees, including award-winning architects, kitchen and bath designers, project managers, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers. Our skilled team is knowledgeable and produces all aspects of residential remodeling, design and construction. We are driven to provide excellent planning and service with the mission of creating superior and long-term value for our clients.
