Outside Sales Territory Representative

Mid South Building Supply, Inc., an Employee Owned wholesale distributor of Kitchen Cabinetry, Siding, Windows and Doors is seeking a motivated person to handle territorial sales for the Columbia, Maryland area. Excellent pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes, sells and secures new accounts for the company
  • Promotes, markets, and sells companies services
  • Schedules and carries out sales calls with established and potential customers
  • Assists with the selection of products best suited to customer needs
  • Prepares, coordinates and communicates price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers/contractors.
  • Researches and orders special products as necessary
  • Continuously network and develops sales with local contractors and builders
  • Cultivates and manages customers relationships
  • Educates customers on Mid South
  • Increase sales and profit margins within a geographic territory
  • Resolved customer complaints and problems
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment
Qualifications
  • Sales experience: at least 2 years (preferred)
  • Must be highly motivated, energetic, and driven to succeed in sales
  • Must be an articulate, passionate, and compelling presenter
  • Has strong communication and social skills
  • Enjoys meeting and working with new people
  • Has a hunger for success and is willing to go the extra mile
  • Have the ability to build trust-based relationships with local contractors and builders
  • Committed to setting and achieving goals
  • Ability to work as a team and help motivate others
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • College degree (preferred, but not required)
